Pre-Meeting Field Trips:
IFSG trip July 23-24 (Friday/Saturday)
The Institute of Meteoritics at the University of New Mexico and the Impact Field Studies Group (IFSG) are planning a field trip
to the newly-discovered Santa Fe (NM) impact structure the Friday/Saturday before the Meteoritical Society meeting starts on Monday, July 26th.
Participants should fly in to Albuquerque on July 22, and fly to New York from Albuquerque on July 25.

Post-Meeting Field Trips:
Sterling Hill Mining Museum July 31, 2010 (Saturday)
Please register or indicate interest as early as possible!
This day trip to the Sterling Hill Mining Museum will include an underground tour of this world-famous fluorescent mineral locality,
containing 357 mineral species, 28 unique to this Zn-rich, S-poor deposit.
Registration will be limited to the first 45 or 80 (one or two coach buses) to sign up.
Cost will be $120.00, which includes admission to the site, and travel.
Only beverages and snacks are available at Sterling Hill.
Participants are advised to bring lunch (there are many sandwich shops near the conference hotel).
The trip will take a full day, leaving from the conference hotel about 9am, and returning to the conference hotel in the early evening.

Manasquan River K/T Boundary August 1, 2010 (Sunday)
Please register or indicate interest as early as possible!
Dr. Neil Landman (AMNH) and colleagues have offered to lead a one-day trip to Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary sites in the
New Jersey coastal plain. The trip will take a full day, returning to the conference hotel
in the early evening. This trip is contingent upon early notification of intent by a sufficient number of participants,
however participation is limited to 20 people. Cost is expected to be about $40. The main site is in a creekbed, so be prepared for water.
